Going to Te Manawa museum

The car pulled over into the park car. I step out into the cold windy day.
I raced to the door. As I stepped into the the building a flush of warm air came racing past me like a rocket. We walk up to counter and my Auntie said
“Where do we go to see the the fish feeding”?

¨Just go straight and then turn that corner and through the door¨
So we did.

We had made to the fish feeding place. There was an adult standing there that just about to start feeding the fish. She started talking about what type of fish there were and what type of food that they like to eat.

She had finally stop talking about the fish and said
“Just go into that room over there and wait for me next to the gecko cage please”  So I started walking over to the gecko cage. I open the door to see the inside of the aviary and I walk over to everyone else to see the geckos.

I started trying to find the geckos. It was extremely hard to find them. Suddenly the backboard of the cage opened up to a lady and she ask us ¨what gecko we would like to see¨
and we all agreed on the yellow one. She closed the backboard and went back out. She carried the gecko in her hand carefully.

She had finally came back and she started talking about the geckos. She said that ¨they like to live in the trees so the can camouflage with their skin.¨
She also said what they liked to eat. Kids ask her question like
can we hold it and stuff like that. But we couldn't hold it because it was to delatch and we might accidentally squish it. She had finished talking about the yellow gecko.

Then she came out with a brown gecko. She said that ¨
the brown geckos lived on the ground so it could camouflage with the leavey ground¨.
Then she said that the parents could take picture it was my turn first. The person holding the gecko came down next me. I was pretty worried that the gecko might suddenly jump on me but it didn´t.

After my Anuite had taken the photo of me we headed off but on the way out the door we supported the Komodo dragon feeding. So Walk over there. The first thing we got to do was pat it! I walk over there and started to pat it. The Komodo dragons skin was rough and scaley.

The man holding it said that the Komodo dragon ate small bug and vegetables. He feed a worm to it. Then they told us to line up I was first in line. At the time I didn't know what was going on. Suddenly I was past the Komodo dragon. It's stomach was soft and mushy it was almost the same weight as a laptop and the length of it was half a metre. My Auntie ask me to  look at the camera so she could take a picture of me and send to my mum so I looked up and smiled.

After she had taking the picture she looked at them and they were blurry! So she had to take some more but unfortunately for us we had to wait in line and it was a pretty big line and they were only taking 8 more kids it felt like or hope was lost but after everyone had left they ask me if I wanted to have  on my shoulder and I said ¨um ok. When they first put it on my shoulder it´s claws dug into me but when they gave some food and it crammed right down.
